One kaiju picture is worth a thousand words...



This is a Maguran Alien by Marmit Globsters. It is the Superfestival limited version made of clear soft vinyl with cyan and orange paint accents. Edition of 30. (Japanese; Kaiju-Taro.)

This is one hard figure to find! I have the orange, glow in the dark, glitter on the way, but this one is quite elusive. The hunt is on! Geo, your killer pics are putting a big dent in my wallet! : )

It looks like an oil painting. How did you achieve that look? The lighting is beautiful.

Yeah, I like the way this looks too. I didn't really do anything special - just a combination of different adjustments to lightness, contrast, and "focus" in Elements. Tweak, tweak, tweak. I have sort of a routine and order of light and contrast adjustments that I go through for different types of "feelings" depending on the original shot, the color of the figure, the actual ambient lighting conditions, etc. I kind of like some of these more impressionistic shots the best. Just play with it and have fun!
