Tigris Alien (Star Person) チグリス星人 from Silver Kamen シルバー仮面

Mutant Mickey Mouse??? Hunchback of Outer Space???

No! It is the Tigris Alien from the Silver Kamen TV show that aired in the early 1970's.

Like Alien In Bus (featured in earlier post), this Tigris Alien figure is a joint project by Kaijuken and Dream Rocket.

The Alien Tigris figure also included a small (3 inch) figure of the Alien In Bus figure (the mini figures that came with each of the standard-sized figures are shown below in the last picture).

『シルバー仮面』（シルバーかめん）は、宣弘社が製作し、1971年（昭和46年）11月28日から1972年（昭和47年）5月21日までTBS系で毎週日曜日19：00 - 19：30に全26話が放送された、特撮テレビ番組およびその劇中に登場する変身ヒーローの名。
放送初期は等身大ヒーロー物であったが、11話よりから巨大ヒーロー物に変更され番組の題名も『シルバー仮面ジャイアント』に改められた。

ストーリー

光子ロケットエンジンの設計者、春日博士は、設計図を狙うチグリス星人によって殺害されてしまう。残された5人の遺児達は、光子ロケットを完成させるために様々な宇宙人や人々の冷たい視線と戦いながら、父の協力者たちに会うために日本各地を旅する事となる。旅のさなか、兄妹は博士が5人の身体の中に設計図を隠したことと、次男の光二にシルバー仮面に変身する能力（銀の力）を与えていたことを知る。

'The silver mask' (the silver pot is), the declaration Hiro corporation to produce, 1971 (1971) from November 28th 1972 (1972) to May 21st every week Sunday with TBS system 19: 00 - All the 26 stories were broadcast to 19:30, special 撮 television program and name of the transformation hero who appears in its play.
Broadcast first stage was life-size hero ones, but it was modified by enormous hero ones from from 11 stories and also title of program 'was changed to the silver mask giant'.

Story: 'The designer of the photon rocket engine, you are murdered Doctor Kasuga, by the Tigris star person who aims for the design figure. 5 orphans who are left while fighting with the gaze where the various extraterrestrials and the people are cool in order to make the photon rocket complete, become to travel every place in Japan in order to meet to the cooperators of the father. Midst of traveling, the sibling the ability to change to the silver mask in light two of thing and the next man where the doctor hides the design figure in the body 5 (power of the silver) knows that it has given.'

さて、チグリス星人。
チーターのような体表と“せむし男”のようなシルエットを持ち、両腕からの火炎弾攻撃が印象的だったこの宇宙人のデザインは、『帰ってきたウルトラマン』の怪獣などを手掛けていた池谷仙克氏によるもの。
　第１話登場という事もあり、比較的メディアへの露出度が高い宇宙人ですが、ソフビ化に際しては、何故か角が着けられてしまいました。もっとも、その点を差し引いても、個性的な初期シルバー仮面星人の魅力を再現したソフビではありますが。

シルバー仮面こらむ

　第１回　ふるさとは地球

オープニングはとても暗い映像。消防車のけたたましいサイレンの音。夜の闇にいくつもの光線が走り建物を襲う。燃えているのは春日研究所。笑いながら攻撃する不気味な影はチグリス星人。父の親友である下村博士は、光子ロケットの秘密については何も聞いていないが、サテライト光線でからだを調べてもらう。チグリス星人がジェットエンジンの燃料を積んだタンクローリーを線路上で立ち往生させて春日兄弟をおびき出す。光二はシルバー仮面に変身し、タンクローリーを線路から押し出し、怪しい人影を追った光三は、喫茶店で人間に化けたチグリス星人に殴り掛かり、警官に化けたチグリス星人に拉致され、基地内で兄弟の居場所を白状させられる。戻ってきた光三は目付きがおかしく、さらに設計図を持ち出そうとする。正体は光三に化けたチグリス星人。光二がシルバー仮面に変身し、チグリス星人を爆死させる。散らばった設計図を拾い集める兄弟は、ジープに乗り、父の愛弟子津島博士のもとへと向かう。

オープニングの火事のシーン、春日兄弟は説明的なセリフをたくさん喋りまくる。光子ロケットのこと、からだに秘密が隠されていること、光子の秘密を宇宙人が狙っていること・・・。光子ロケットを完成させれば宇宙を征服できる力を持つことになる。からだに秘密が隠されているが、刺青も無いし、レントゲンでもわからない。春日兄弟には父の友人や知り合いの科学者を尋ねて秘密を見つけ出し、ロケットを完成させて地球を宇宙人の手から守る指名があるのだと。マンガだと、字ばかりで読みにくいことでしょう。

光三が喫茶店で、人間に化けたチグリス星人に大声で話しかけます。
「おい！お前！チグリス星人だろ！」
周りにいた人は何事かと思うでしょう。物騒だから離れた方が賢明です。

チグリス星人、とっても猫背です。猫背でトランクを抱えて逃げる姿が、悪役らしさを倍増させています。『猫背でモノを抱えて逃げる』　役者さんの勉強になることでしょう。

シルバー仮面、チグリス星人の手を握ったまま目が光らせると、握っていたチグリス星人の手から火が吹き出て、さらにチグリス星人は全身から発火し爆死します。なんていう技なんでしょうか。
